In contact with Marci's office today. I have found some things are not going to be as I expected, but nothing REALLY problematic. I knew I needed to see Marci for a check up before surgery, and it appears that she is going to be in surgery when I arrive. I did get a really early flight out of MSP, for which I am now even more grateful. I am supposed to arrive in DEN at 0810 MDT and, if the car rental folks are timely, I should be on the road by 9 and in Trinidad between 1200 and 1300. I have an appointment for 1300, but likely it will just be with a nurse for vitals and stuff.
Change #2: they are no longer checking us into the hospital the night before, so I'll need to find a place to stay (likely the Downtown Motel; they were reasonable and inexpensive) the night before. Again, not a problem; just an unexpected change.
Item (not really a change) #3: Marci is doing 2 surgeries some days. I don't know if I am morning or afternoon. I would kinda like to know ahead of time. The possibility of being the afternoon candidate and the staying out of the hospital the night before mucks up my ritual a bit. Obviously, I will see the sun on the 5th while still in my unaltered body. Irksome, but not critically so.
